Short Abstract
A lot of effort and finantial resources have been lately invested in Europe to support research in Micro- and Nanomanufacturing. But how to ensure that the targeted innovation actually meets the real industrial needs? To create and maintain Europe’s industrial competitive edge and technological advantage, it is imperative to have an industry driven initiative definining the needs and priorities for technology development. With this aim, IPMMAN aims to bridge this gap and achieve major innovation in the European Manufacturing Industry through integration of macro-, micro- and nanotechnologies, focusing efforts and strengthening links of the research initiatives with the European Manufacturing Industry, and supporting the establishment of a European Technology Platform on Micro- and Nanomanufacturing.
