1976- MSc at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FEI STU)
1980- PhD at FEI STU Bratislava in Microelectronics, particularly in physics, technology and characterization of semiconductor structures and devices
1981-  Assistant Professor at Department of Microelectronics FEI STU
1981, 1984 two ( 4 + 3 months) postdoc stays at Uppsala University, Sweden
1987- Professor at Department of Microelectronics FEI STU
1994- Head of the Department of Microelectronics FEI STU
1997- IEEE Member
2000- 2002 Chairman of the Scientific Grant Agency of Slovak Ministry of Education
2000- 2004 Referee of the projects submitted within 5th and 6th FP of European Union 
2006- Member of the Education& Training Coordination Board and management team of Scientific Community Council of ENIAC Technology Platform

Field of interest:

  1. Microelectronics, nanotechnology, physics, technology and characterization of semiconductor materials, structures and devices supported by process and device modelling and simulation
  2. computer aided engineering education, retraining, life long learning 

Taught subjects:

Physical electronics, Technology CAD, Computer Aided Engineering of Semiconductor Devices

Experience:

- long term participation and heading of many scientific grants and contracts funded by national and international bodies
- author and co-author of more than 100 papers in international scientific journals and proceedings of the conferences
- chairman and member of the scientific program and steering committees of international conferences in the field of microelectronics and education (ASDAM, ECS, EWME, MSE, CAEE/CALISCE, SISPAD)
- invited lectures at UMIST Manchester, UK, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, Uppsala University and Chalmers University in Goteborg, Sweden, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan          
- international collaboration - TU Munich, ETH Zurich, City University of Hong Kong, IMEC Leuven, Belgium, CVUT Prague, TU Brno
- frequent collaboration with the industrial partners (Motorola, ON Semiconductor, Infineon, Semikron and others)
